Diploma in Psychology

Diploma in PsychologyCourse Introduction

Psychology is the study of mental events and behaviour and is based on scientific principles. It is mainly concerned with the study and analysis of human behaviour, but also covers some issues relating to the behaviour of animals.

An understanding of psychology is essential for those wishing to pursue a career in the public sector, particularly if they wish to work with people in the caring professions i.e. in education, social services, police and legal work, nursing and those professions supplementary to medicine. A knowledge of psychology and human behaviour is also of great value to those seeking careers in management, commerce and the media.
