Diploma in Accounting & Finance
Course Introduction
This one-year course is aimed for those contemplating employment within the accountancy field. It is also suitable for participants who are already in employment who seek to develop their business, accounting and finance skills for career progression purposes.

Schedule : 1 evening per week 6.15-9.30pm
Duration: Offered twice yearly, October & February - 1 year part-time
Course Aims & Objectives
This programme will serve as an excellent route for students who require an Accounting and Finance qualification. It is suitable also for those who ultimately seek full professional status and will provide first class underpinning knowledge for the mainstream UK based Accounting Bodies such as CIMA and ACCA. Student’s who successfully complete this diploma course will obtain full exemption for all four of CIMA’s current (1995 scheme) stage one examinations.

Assessment
A student studies 4 subjects each semester and this comprises of twelve weeks duration with examinations held at the end of each semester in December and June.

The Diploma in Accounting & Finance will offer students the opportunity to enter into a variety of accounting careers within different business contexts. The course is an ideal introductory course and will provide students with the skills necessary to progress within numerous accounting support roles or to pursue a professional accounting and academic qualification.
